During the month of Ramadan, our goal is to spiritually and physically cleanse our mind and body. It is important we reflect on the significance of life & the experiences that define it.
“The ultimate experience” is an enlightening journey that disciplines us against our ego and false desires. By disciplining ourselves, we may reach a higher level of peace, appreciation, and joy.
All to often, we define ourselves and happiness to people, circumstances, and things. However, what ends up happening is that- we stress about the possibility of losing them when something seems amiss. Then we melt into grief when something changes—a lay off, a break up, a transfer. In situations such as these, we revolve our life around temporary subjects that are bound to change. So in essence, we end up always stressed and uneasy.
Overall, fasting teaches us the value of “the ultimate experience”, and how in order to appreciate life and it’s experiences, we must achieve a clear and peaceful state of mind.
A clear state of mind, understands itself and understands the purpose of all surrounding variables.
